Rubber on the road, WTH?

okay, over the winter i noticed snow spitting up from the drivers side wheel while i was sliding around a corner. no big deal, the diff. was just built real well and it was slippery out and the drivers tire was just spinning a little right? no big deal

the other day i decide to get on it leaving my apartment complex and i just happened to be in a puddle w/ a little ice over it, spun the tires, got out onto dry pavement, tires squealing a little (alright, a lot).

came home from the store, and i notice TWO rubber marks (on on each side), the same length, where i spun my tires, i'm like WTF? i didn't get off the gas either, the tires just caught traction

I drive a 94 Talon 1.8 Auto that was re-assembled by the owner before me with parts from a junkyard.

Is it just me or is this just not normal?

just wondering but are you 100% it was you who left them? Just asking because you live in an apartment and other people could've hit that same patch of ice.

100% sure, i put gas in my car at the spedway in front of my house, paid with my card and i was looking right at the enterance to my apartment complex. no one came/went and today i lined my car up on them, and it's the exact same distance apart. who knows, the tranny is from a yard.
