Well after being on stands for almost 3 months finally got her back on the road. Took sooooo long only being in town 6 days a month didn't have a lot of time to work on her. Pulled subframes all new prothane bushing, aluminum subframe bushings. Wire wheeler all rust and painted all suspension and subframe parts. And raised the rear another half inch. But I think I could go more.

Confusing parts being 2nd owner of this car. Did not know if steering rack used power steering fluid or atf. Fluid was red so used atf. Asian atf or chrysler atf? Same @#$@? Brake fluid dot3 dot4? Asian or chrysler again?

While doing this job I noticed the inner cv boot was torn in half. So I replaced but some gear oil drained when removing. Is it a bit deal if I top it up with any kind of gear oil? Can tire only seems to have its motor master brand and lordco only has luCas gear oil. No mitsubishi dealership here but there is a chrysler dealership. :s

And now im Interested in picking up a 6 bolt 4g63. There is a new one for sale for $1000 cnd does that seem like a good deal?

Why? What's wrong with your motor? For future reference you don't need to pull the axle to replace an inner boot. I suggest picking up a Haynes manual at the least, can be found for under $15 on ebay; gives you fluid specs and capacities. Your car is considered an import

Ty on oil input. And the 6 bolt engine looks mostly stock other than the stainless manifold. And is brand new. What's wrong with having a spare engine? I currently have a 7 bolt with 250k miles. And I drive a lot. And I'm also looking to get a awd dsm at some point and it would give the option possibly picking one with a blown engine that someone may try to get rid of. If I do get an awd it will be sitting in the garage for a long time.

& haynes manual is ordered!
