My GSX is Back on the Road!!!

Well as some of you know, this past month I have been doing a clutch install. And, the job was a complete success! minus a few snags along the way, most of the job went very smoothly. I just want to say thank you to everyone that has helped me out on my previous post as well, thanks a lot! My baby is back on the road!!!

Congrats! Mine has been down for almost 2 years. I finally have what I need to rebuild it except a few parts, but yeah. So what's next for your car?

Yeah I went with just an XTD Stage 3, I've heard some bad things about them, but I am willing to give them a try, I don't plan on rising my horsepower over 270hp maybe, so it was a decision I made based on the only bad reviews I read were from people kicking out a high HP number, and I went with a used Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel that was in excellent condition, i just sanded the face a bit to rough it up a little, and popped it on.

I actually just did it in my driveway, , The job seemed a lot harder than it actually was...it was pretty straight forward on what to do down there, once you start.... it seems like over the 3 years I have had this the car has turned me into a Mitsubishi Technician... the only things that didn't go as smoothly as I wish they had were the removal of the passenger side CV axle, which I ended up just pounding it out the other side of the output shaft with a screwdriver I customized with a Dremel Tool. Also, the alignment of the transmission to engine was hard, I had really wished that I invested in a Transmission jack. I ended up using a floor jack and a cherry picker.
