I was wondering if any one has replaced a front wheel hub assembly before and what tools will i need

its not always simple sometimes it get seized in there if it does pull the boot of the axle you will need a new axle after this and then you can just get a socket on the 4 bolts in the back of the hub and pull it apart it happened to me

and an impact is your best friend with these LOL

As long as the axle isn't seized into the hub it is a real easy job. It is easiest to remove the spindle from the car. Remove the axle nut, Pop the upper and 2 lower ball joints loose along with the tie rod, unbolt the caliper and hang it with a bunjy chord from the spring, and unhook the abs sensor if you have abs. From there remove the spindle from the car, pull the rotor from the hub, remove the 4 bolts holding the hub to the spindle and beat the hub out with a hammer. I usually take a wire brush and go around the inside bore of the spindle to remove the rust. Now you can bolt the new hub in place and reinstall the spindle.

You don't have to remove any ball joints or tie rods: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/new...-wheel-hub-bearing-removal.html#post151512403. But be prepared for it to be siezed/rusted in place so bad (they usually are on dsms) that an impact won't even get it (well maybe a 300 ft-lb one - and sometimes not even that - I ended up taking it, with the knuckle arm still on to a 240,000 lb press, no machine shop could even press it out, although usually they can).

Here is what the hub looks like: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=78775&d=1198915698
