Need some help on deciding on a wastegate configuration, Internal or external (off manifold). Right now i'm not setup for an external setup so I would have to get the manifold and wastegate etc. Is there any reason with this turbo that I should go with an external wastegate like a tial 38mm or stick with an internal wastegate. Opinions, personal experience is what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Well, once you go external you are set up for any current/ future turbo choices. I run the tial 40mm and LOVE it.If there is one thing I have learned (trust me I have spent/wasted alot of $$). Go buy the good stuff the 1st time around so you are not kicking yourself in the ass later.
Hope that helps.

Real world experience, I run a 60-1(pte, not agp) and dont really have the need for an external wg. Its nice to say you have it, but really hard to work around when doing basic maintenance. I went from a full garrett setup back to dsm with internal wg and am very happy. I also run 23-24psi on the street and 28+ at the track and have never had any creep problems or any problems with my iwg holding those levels. Youy can look at my gallery and you will see my past setup and current and I am much happier with what I have now.
