I went to start the car up with the nice weather (been regularly maintained in winter) and the car would crank and wouldn't start. I then continued to crank the car and get a CEL for a crank sensor. I cleared it and it would just come back after continued cranking.

I replaced the sensor with a amazon special (funds are tight). The car then started right up no issue. Drove the car around locally (all under 45mph) without any issues and all is normal. I then get on it and the car hit a wall with in car gauges/sensors working normal. I go in the log and look more misfire related symptoms and found this RPM spike that happens all within a second.

I obviously don't see this on the tach. So if you look in the log, this spike just seems fake. Not sure if the cheap sensor is at fault here or not. Is there a way to log any value related to the crank sensor? Or how could I test the ECU or sensor to actually confirm the issue is here nor there?

First log is while driving when I first had this issue. The second log I tried to recreate the issue by revving while changing a few variables.
