When I'm at high rpm while driving and shift it to neutral my rpm goes to ''0'' and the cars shuts down or it sometimes goes to 0 and bounces to idle depending what rpm ## at while shifting what could be the problem guys????

i have the same problem.. i would like to find out too.. i think it was due to my fuel system running lean... anyone with any other ideas??

well.. i guess im kinda in a different boat then u guys beacause i put a turbo kit on and i bought a sfmu and my fuel pressure was set 10psi lower than it should of been.. and whenever i ran the car hard.. then put it into neutral to stop.. the rpms would drop and the car would stall and the oil light would stay on.. when i start it back up everything would be normal.. no hesitation or anything.. i turned the pressure up when i found out i had it wrong and it hasnt done it since... ::knock on wood::

it was doing it real bad to the point where everytime i switched to neutral i would have to tap the gas too keep the rpms up to prevent a shut off

Light weight flywheels can do this too. I had a problem similar to this where whenever I would clutch in from a moderate RPM that the car would do just as you explained, go to zero and then catch idle again *If I was lucky*. What I did was to just clutch in a bit slower so there wasn't that great of a shock to my rotating assembly when I clutched in. Try clutching in just a bit slower.

If not, venting your BOV valve can cause it too because the engine goes rich when you let off the gas. Then the front o2 sensor sees "rich" and the ECU pulls fuel out making it go lean as soon as it is at idle speeds.

Side question, anything wrong with your idle? For a while I was under the impression that my IAC was not setup right with my BISS screw but I never got around to testing my theory.
