Rounded Out Phillips Screws On FogLight Cover, HOWTO remove.

Hey guys,

Just wondering the best possible way to remove thse screws to replace my bulbs.

I pulled the outer covers and the screw heads are wallered out like a 5$ hooker.

any input would help.

Craftsman sells a set of broken bolt removers for like 10 bucks or something. I have used it ALOT and found it worth the investment.

Either that or cut a notch with a dremel and hit it with the - screwdriver. I've done that quite a few times. I think it works well on the 10mm or smaller bolts.

Drill the head with a bit larger than the screw but smaller than the screw head. Once the head is cut off, the lens comes off and you can clamp the remaining part with vice grips.

Anyways, cant you get the bulbs out from the back without removing the lenses?

They are projectors that take H3's

I drilled the heads off, and the remaining bolts twisted out by finger.

the bolts were froze into the lens cover, not the threads. wierd.

also, one of them was broken off already and had a tip of a drill bit stuck in it, HAHAHA
