Rough tuning after 650 and 190 lph pump?

Well I plan on installing my 650 injectors and 190 lph pump while my car is apart.

The car has an EEPROM ECU on it right now with an Ostrich Emulator.

I am not very good at tuning at all but I do have a strong IT and Electronics background.

The tune has been setup by the previous owner and I have not connected a laptop to it.

Any thoughts on how to get the car driveable (It is not my DD I just use it when it snows out for now since it is AWD and has Blizzaks) without tuning it?

I don't really have money for a wideband on there and there is no EGT.

I just want to tune it for light throttle and can stay off the boost which is now tuned for 16 psi.

What kind of injectors were in the car when it was tuned before? You can install the 190 straight up by itself and your tune should be fine. If you are upgrading injectors the tune has to be changed/compensated for. The car will be way off if you try to run it with different sized injectors than it was tuned for.
 
What does it ahve for a tuning devise? You said you still need tp hook a laptop up so my guess is DSMlink. Yes if you put bigger injectors in with stock/old tune it will not run or run extreamy crappy. Get everything installed and tune it. Search around for advice on how to tune it with link(if thats what it has) or someone on here can provide info on it.
 
I havent played with ostrich in a while, but Im pretty sure there is some sort of injector scaling. Just doing the injector scaling the car should run fine for what you need it for. Sounds like its just your winter beater car.
 
Like GSTClipse stated, those tunes are for what was on the car. Just like how a chip is. Each tune is for a specific setup. If you changed any parts fuel wise, I would throw on the old stuff back on until you get to understand tuning with Ostrich. My $0.02

Well the interior is apart really not the whole car. I have alot of work to do in the interior...right now it has no seats and the carpet is out. When it snows I will just pop the driver's seat back in.

I am hoping to rewire the 190lph pump, install the pump, install an aftermarket alarm and take care of my gauges before I pop all this stuff together.

So I gather that I could just put the 190lph pump in there and leave the stock injectors in maybe without touching ostrich?

Then when I get more familiar with the Ostrich I can swap the injectors?

Would that work?

She is only my winter beater car for now. Later on she will be dual purpose as in fun in the summer with summer tires/rims and winter tires/rims in the winter.

I love it alot that's why I don't want to DD it. I want it to last longer. :D
 
Yes that is what I would do, put the 190 in, rewire it, and then when you get more familiar with the ostrich adjust it for the 650s and install them.

Sounds simple enough to me!
