Rota's or stock GS-T wheels?

Okay, this may sound odd, but I'm faced with a dilemma. I've been going through this 6-bolt swap and I decided to do everything at once, so it's taking me a while and given me time to think. During this pateint wait, I started to think about something: I realized I love the 2g so much, that in a way, I want to put the stock wheels that came with my car when I bought it back on. I guess there's a part of me that wants to keep the spirit of the 2g alive to the fullest. The only thing that's different on the outside would be the lowered stance and a FMIC when it's done. The rims, too. They were the flat-color GS-T 5-spokes. I currently have 18" Rota Subzero's (white) on there, but something makes me want to change them out. Am I insane? Please, fellow DSMers, help me out. All my friends are F-body guys, so they're no help. I'm the only import! Opinions please!

Aren't the rota wheels lighter than the stock wheels? i know the 17's are like 16 lbs. i think you should stick with the rotas but that is just my opinion.

IMO stick with the rota's, but change the color (if not for you, then for everyone else...) I don't know what it is about white wheels, but they just make me :barf: no matter what car they're on.

Hahaha! Yeah, I hate the white. If I stick with them, I'm going to have my friend shoot them the regular alloy color. Yeah, they're are lighter than the stockers. I believe the 18" wheels only weigh 18 pounds. Maybe I'll have them sprayed and then see what I think. Thanks, guys.

The only thing wrong in this scenario is that the stock wheels are only 6 inches wide. In a GST traction is a problem and wider tires can make a difference. I would not have gone with 18's form a performance standpoint myself, but a 16 inch wheel that is wider. 16 inch tires are so much more affordable for those of us on a budget. And white wheels are teh suck, sorry. :thumb:

There is something about the GS-T wheels, huh? Glad I'm not the only one.

As far as 18's for performance, it's not a race car. I'm not worried. I hate the white, too. I have an idea for the white. Pics when it's done is God knows how long. LOL!
