okay, so after I install the pistons and rods I go to turn the crank. The cranks spins nice but a one point feels like it catches something but still spins. Should I be worried? also I went with just using oil to lube evreything up instead of assembly lube...

First things first--Take it back apart and use assembly lube. This is a very important thing you should not skimp on. Oil is not thick or sticky enough when you go to start the motor it might as well be dry. Where does it catch at where are the pistons? Does it geel diffrent when the pistons reach TDC?

it really makes that big of a difference using assembly lube? and also I think it catches at TDC but I cant really remember at the moment

YES it makes a big difference. If it feels a little different at TDC that is normal, if it is actually catching on somthing that is a problem. It will feel a little diffrent at TDC because the piston is changing direction and the rod is staight up and down. When you rotate the crank if it feels the same when 1-4 reach the top as when 2-3 reach the top then you are probably o.k. but I would go back an double check everything when you take it a down to use assembly lube.:thumb:
