Ok guys please dont make fun of me for this but I been around the block for a very long time with these DSM's now I have a stock rod / piston rebuild on my 4g63 6 bolt. I know the 6 bolt rods are stronger but exactly how strong? I just got this Comp triple BB turbo rated at 550 HP and I been running 30-35 PSI on it all day! and so far not a single issue. Is my car really making 500 WHP? I duno I have not dynoed it yet; however, at 30 PSI and 92 octane fuel she pulls hard with NO KNOCK / Detonation. So is this motor bullet proof? maybe I am getting lucky here?

If you have a good tune you should be okay. I think it was last week a guy posted he made 600+ whp on a stock block. If you have a bad tune, you can ruin any engine.

It's usually not a question of can you do it, but how long can you get away with it.

I know there is a member on here making 511awhp on a stock 6 bolt rebuild WITH balance shafts. So to answer your question as to "can you really make 500 hp on a stock motor" Yes. What are you using to tune with?

Edit: Just looked at your profile, and if its up to date I dont know exactly how you know your tune is good with just an SAFC neo?!?! You say you arent getting any knock? How do you know this?! A log would be very helpful!

While huge numbers have come out of stock bottom ends, This is always a possibility. This wasn't a tuning issue, as detonation will take out the stock cast pistons before doing this.
