i have a dumb question. do the locater tabs for the rod bearings go on the same side as eachother or on oppisite sides? I am just finishing up my motor and i cant remember and yes i did search but i didnt find anything. thanks

I'm thinking the notch in them sits opposite of each other, its been a while since I put mine in.

They'll be on the same side but opposite of each other (not lined up).

I hope you're not assembling an engine without a manual...

I do have a manuel, but I'm at work and just have things running through my head on what i have to do to finish

Soooo you're just using us to kill time at work when you already have the answer at home... That's just great. If you're bored, try YouTube, don't waste peoples time on here.

DAMN! Its really not that serious man. It took you more time to post that reply than it would have to just move on and not "waste" your own time.

yeah what an asshat. dude we are all on here as a community to help out. if you feel the need to get all pissy, then you need to get off the computer and clean the sand out of your vagina

I know there are alot of basic questions that are asked by alot of newbs and proven members. I get that people should do SOME research before they post a question. However I have asked questions several times because I didnt know the answer and somebody linked me or gave me the answer right away. Even though I COUD HAVE found it myself according to them. I probably could have IF I had more time to look at that moment or IF I was using the correct key words. My point is that everyone will ask a simple to search question eventually. There is no reason to act a fool over it unless the same person asks the simple questions all the time because they refuse to search.

To the op. My stock rods came off with the tabs opposite eachother.

i forgot to mention that i am going to finish after work and its not at my house where the manuel is. Sorry to ruin your day

This was a question that could have been easilly searched but I helped out anyways did I not?

Why wouldn't you have a manual while you're putting an engine back together when you're obviously inexperienced?

I don't come on here and ask questions I already have the answers to just to entertain myself and clutter the boards with useless threads.

No I'm not crying, I'm not pissy, and there's no "sand in my vagina". It's called being direct. If people have a problem with that then perhaps they should reevaluate who needs thicker skin.

Man. Stop for a second and re read the way you were direct. You were saying he wasted your time. Its only a waste of your time if you reply when you feel its a useless thread. So you wasted your own time by replying if its useless to you. Regardless of what the content is. It gets old seeing people come in and act like they are mightier than thou when they could either ignore the posts and move on or just answer the question.

Coming from someone who stooped down to name calling?

Way to ride in on that high horse bud...

This is a legitimate question. I dont see the issue.

Anyways, its impossible to mess up because there is a notch on the rod and rod cap where those tabs would go.
