i got rod knock in my 2G eclipse. whats the best thing to do for it besides replaceing the rods and pistons. my shop told me to just replace the ROD bearings and i will be good untill i replace the pistons and rods. is that a good way to go

I think the motor should be disassembled, inspected, problem parts and or components identified, the necessary parts and components replaced, necessary machine work done, reassemble engine and install.

just wondering if you have a good salution to this problem or my salution above should do the trick

Well I think you should proceed as I mentioned above.

If you move forward by making assumptions, and without checking things out your results will be a gamble.
