So I was just searching around for info just to knock dust off my brain for upcoming work I'm goingto be doing, and came across this post: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/97931-honing-cylinder-walls.html#post797464

Post #6 states putting assembly lube on the crank journal side of the bearings ONLY. Is this correct or should I lube the other side too? I'm only asking this because I can't remember which way I did it with my old 7-bolt. If it's only supposed to be lubed on the one side, and I ended up doing both, that could explain some things. Again, only asking this for verification since it'll beinvolved in my upcoming engine work. :dsm:

The bearings do not move in the housings. Now if you were building an old school flat head, the bearings rotate freely and you would lube both sides of the bearings.
