I recieved my catback the other day. It has the dual tip magnaflow muf on it. Very stock looking. anyway. I was looking where the pipes connect between the muffler and the rest of the pipe. They just slide into one another. Do I need anything for that? or is that it?
Forgive me for the dumb question. But I didnt know.

The pipes "slip-fit" together and should be relatively snug. You can purchase and use clamps but they are not usually necessary.

clamps will be a very good idea to invest in, i have 3" turbo-back o2 eliminator from ryan and the slip fit worked well, but if u examine the joints after a couple hundred miles of driving u'll see exhaust marks on the pipes cause its not air tight seal so it leaks a little. Not that big of a deal, but i just went and got some 3" clamps to put on the two slip fit sections and now it doesnt leak at all and it makes me feel more secure if someone wants to try and jack my exhaust cause its just held by the rubber hangers.

I ordered mine in oct. took a long time. I dont think it will bolt to the stock cat being 3" What do u guys think?

you mean no flanges to conect to the cat? Well that sux man, it should have been a total bolt-on, with no installation problems... you might have to take it to a local muffler shop and see what they say.

Ps: i've been waiting for mine since oct 8 and yet nothing...

no it will bolt. It has the flange. I have 3" cat back. I dont think it will match up with the stock cat

I ordered my RNR Turbo-Back 3" Stainless on Nov. 1st. After many calls, and being told it was shipping and has shipped I finally got the thing almost 2 months later. THey gave me a BS tracking number or rather a tracking number UPS had not received.

anyway.. my kit came with the same type of connectors. They slide together. I figured I would have to have a shop weld them in order for the system to not leak.
