Alright so I get my 2g pistons on 1g rods back today from the machine shop. I assume I need to use the 2g rings, but are the gaps different from 1g to 2g motors? I am using a 1g haynes manual, or do I just need to use .004" Per inch of bore? Standard bore so id be using around what my haynes manual says, I just have never done this piston mod before and need an experienced answer. thanks

that sounds about right.. I am sure you can find the 2g ring gap specs also and compare the two of them

If you plan on running more than stock boost levels you may want to add a little more to the ring gap, so the rings can "grow" and not butt together and crack/break the ring lands
