rewire even worth it ?

Just wanted to know if a rewire would even be worth it for me for my Tsi Talon. The only things i have done are, upper IC pipes, 1G BOV, Air Intake, and catback on the way w/ test pipe.

it would never hurt to have more fuel, especially if you are planning on upgrading from the t-25 soon. Its a cheap $$ mod so might as well do it.

Couldn't hurt anything as long as you did it right. But when i was thinking about doing it i did some searching and found that half think it's a waste of time, Half think it's useful. Most people just say just skip it and just replace the stock Fuel Pump.

Well yes and no. If you turn up your boost then of course more fuel is gonna be dumped in. But the rewire makes it so you can run more boost and not max the pump.

I just did the rewire this weekend and I can definately say that if you are looking to upgrade at any time the rewire is definately a necessary step. On a side note if you look at the april addition of turbo mag they do a fuel pump test in which they test 10+ fuel pumps, one of them is the popular DSM Walbro 255lph pump they tested every pump at 13.5 volts and then at 16.5 volts, at 35 psi the pump pushed 272.56 ltr/hr at 13.5 volts as a opposed to 340.7 ltr/hr at 16.5. That is a big difference and when you are begining to mod and you want to turn the boost up that extra fuel "leverage" would definately help. I mean one of the biggest things I noticed is with my back seat out and a walbro 190 you could hear the pump speeding up and slowing down when there was any draw on the battery (blinkers, wipers, stereo) and when i did the rewire the fluctuation was still present but less noticable. Look at it this way for $10 or so in supplies and an hour or so how could you go wrong?

Not Hijack this thread but I have question relating to it.
If your going to replace your stock fuel pump in the next little bit, is it a good idea to rewire the fuel pump till then or just leave it rewired when you put the after market one in.

I would do it now. Never put off doing something. If you wait for mods to add up, then you wind up having too much stuff to do. Spreading it out makes my life easier.

Agreed. I rewired my stock pump a few months ago and it helped. And I've got a 3000GT VR-4 pump coming in the mail that I'll be putting in very soon, so the car will already be set up for the bigger pump.
