reuse the 2g cas in ## 6 bolt swap?

Can I reuse the 2g cas in a 6 bolt swap? All of the threads have said 2 use the 1g cas... Y can't u use the 2g???

Different type of sensor. a 2g utilizes a cam angle sensor AND a crank angle sensor.

6bolt uses just a cam angle sensor.

You need a 1g CAS sensor.

only if you using a 2g head, other then that, 1g 6bolt long block, you will need a 1g CAS and a harness from RRE.

If you use the 2g cas, you will also need to use the crank sensor. I think the only way to do it that way is to modify the 7-bolt oil pump to work on the 6-bolt block; it looks to be a lot of machining and modifying though. Not worth the work in my opinion.

Just use the 1g CAS. It's really not as hard as what it seems. It would be much harder to make the 2g cam and crank sensors work with the 1g motor IMO.

I hear most people run the Hall Effect black CAS, is there a reason for this over a stock looking one?
