resovoir behind bumper-passenger side

Hi folks, I was hoping someone could inform me of what the small resovoir is for behind the front bumper, below the passenger headlight. Just bought my first eclipse...1999 GS 420A and that was the first thing I noticed after bringing it home...a resovoir hanging down behind the bumper. There was a clear hanger for ir right behind the headlight but not sure what its for. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is the passenger side front view looking down the passenger side....im curious of that little resovoir in the middle of the picture....it was hanging upside down when I got it home. Mounted it upright but not sure what its for!?

Not to argue but isnt the charcoal canister underneath the battery?

that is a pressure solenoid. most likely attached to your evap canister/ vacuum line. all in combination of your EGR system.

its doesn't matter if its hanging up down left or right.

In preparation for emissions....would you replace it? Was just concerned because it is marked with an UP arrow( this side up ) and that arrow was pointing at the ground. I dont know how long it has been that way. Thanks

The 98-99 have a different charcoal canister setup. The canister is inside the gas tank with lines that run along the body to this purge valve. View the second post in this thread for more details:

chrysler always has a way to always do things different. I think I should stay away from 420a threads all together.
