I read the merged post on oil pressure sender(s) and the rest of them I could find and I still have a question. Does the Prosport Electrical Oil Pressure gauge sending unit need a, adapter to fit the 2g water-cooled OFH? Or will the sending unit just thread into the OFH? I will be running it off of one of the two available pressure ports(the 2 big allen plugs) in the front of the OFH. Thanks for any help!! -Jeremy

Do you know what you have available for a port? On the 1g's, the port is BPT (british pipe thread) And the sender is NPT I think, (national pipe thread) so I simply ran a die over it and converted it to BPT to fit the available port. Worked well.

There are no NPT threads on the oil filter housing. They are BSPT/BPT. (This is why almost all of us have oil leaks there when using those NPT elbows provided in the oil feed line kits etc.)

Autometer sells the adapter in BSPT/BPT. I believe the part number is 2269 or something to that effect. One end is the male at 1/8th BSPT/PT and the other end is a female 1/8 NPT which your aftermarket sender will screw into. This completely replaces your stock sender since it is useless anyways.

Edit: Here's the link. It can be found for cheaper if you do a little bit of searching with the part number.

Where the heck did you find a BPT tap from? You sure you have that correct, I would have ASSumed that the thread is NPT and you need to tap to BPT?

Re-read.. I used the die on the sender, not a tap in the housing. But in either case, I have a tap/die set that has a number of BPT pieces. Again this is 1g, I'm not sure on 2g housings.

Mine threaded directly in, i used teflon tape to seal it.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Does anybody have the Prosport Oil pressure gauge? I know some people do so if so, did you have to get the 2269 Autometer adapter or did you just thread the sender in like Burnett03?

I'm curious too, if the 2gs are different, or if you forced it in. The threads are similar, and you could likely thread it in with some force, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Chuck 3 ^^^, I PM'ed Burnett03 and here it is:

I'm using a stock filter housing.. I screwed mine into where my stock pressure sender was.

I am going to do that but I want to retain my stock oil pressure gauge also. I will have to search around and find a t fitting so I can keep both.
