c,
like stated, its a wire and i have no clue what it goes to, all the other wires go to plugs, o2 sensors and i don't know what else. some of the harness was cut/damaged so i started soldering things back together and i noticed a yellow wire with a green (i think) stripe that seemingly goes to nowhere. suggestions, help, or references would be very much appreciated.

all i know for sure is one plug in that area is an o2 sensor. left side of engine, after the injectors.

blue notes the plugs extending from the loom (o2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, i dunno what the third one is) red is the wire in question. its yellow w/ green stripe

There are two sensors on the t-stat housing. The upper one has two wires, the lower only has one. I'm not sure of the colors, but I do believe the lower one is yellow and green.

thats probably it, it was in the same loom as the other t-stat housing sensor. any chance you could take a picture of the sensor itself? or know what it's called incase I have to buy one or llok it up in parts exchange?

I can try to get over there today when I get off of work. Its just a single "prong" sensor in the lower housing.

There are 3 sensors on the thermostat housing. Top one with oval plug and small pins is for the ac. The middle sensor with 2 larger pins, positioned in an L fashion is the coolant temp sensor, for the ecu. The 3rd sensor, lowest on the housing is a single wire coolant temp switch. It is used for the dash temp gauge.
