Hey all. Ecmlink v2.5. Connecting with my ecmlink usb cable. Everything has always worked fine using the USB port on the left side of my laptop. Well today I backed the car out of the garage to drain the and replace the coolant and set the tps, and when doing so I tried to connect to link and I plugged it into the USB port on the right side.

It started to connect and read the logged values, and then it quit. Also now the car won't start. I hooked the laptop up to the vr4 and it connected no problem, so that rules out the cable. Pulled the ecu from the vr4 and put it in the talon and it still won't connect. The only thing electrical that I slightly touched underhood was the cts.

Next step Im planning to do is check the diag port wiring unless anybody has some ideas for me. Thanks as always

Figured it out. Saw a problem visually (a short in my o2 sensor wires)

Then confirmed on tuners from a thread that o2 sensor wires grounding out can cause the mpi relay fuse to blow. Came out and checked the fuse and sure enough she's blown. I'm so thankful for the wealth of knowledge and experience stored on these forums 🙏
