Hi,
My clutch just recently started sticking itself to the floor, so I changed the slave cylinder today. Things went pretty smoothly, until...

I got everything together, started bleeding the system, did it perfectly. And the clutch still stuck to the floor. Tried bleeding a few more times, UNITLL! I looked behind me and saw a nice little puddle of brake fluid. It isn't the master cylinder (<6mos old, no leaks), or the slave cylinder (which I wasted $80 on). It is somewhere in the line, back around the control arm and wheel well of the passenger side. This is conveniently the only part of the hydraulic line that isn't visible, or feel-able. I took pictures of the area to give you an idea. The leak is up above the frame/wheelwell around where the fuel lines are headed. The circled area is where it pools up and drips from.

A few questions also...

First of all, how do I fix it??!!!

Is there a connection in this area or is it just the metal line?

I got in a small accident (w/ a curb, sideways) on the passenger side and had to replace my control arm (smashed in the wheel:coy: ). Could that have smashed the hydraulic line?

I've thought about getting the SS Braided Clutch line from SlowboyRacing. Would this be a good move to fix it, or is there a cheaper yet more thorough way of fixing it?

If I get the SS Braided line I'm assuming I need the full line (master to slave). The partial one only goes up the the connector... I think.

Thank you so much for your time, and let me know what I can do to make it easier.

$80 for a slave cylinder???!!!! Did you get some Vaseline with that? You can get them at most parts stores for about $18. You could get a full ss line from the master, however you are going to pay a pretty penny for it. I would just replace the leaking line with a section of tubing and get the ss line from the connector to the slave.

There is a hard line attached form the master to the maf area. another hard line from the slave to the same area. In between them is where the ss line goes. its about 18 inches long and most likely this is just rotted away and broke. I only replace the hard lines when somebody strips a flare nut.
Was it a mitsu part or kragen??

I got the Slave from the Mitsu dealer. The part that is leaking is not visible. I know it is because it pools up and drips from the circled area. I've traced the LINE down like so (not the leak):
From the Slave all the way to the wheel well/control arm area.
From the Master all the way down to the lower passenger corner of the engine bay.

Any area between there is a mystery to me...

The leak is somewhere between the "un-feel-able" areas.

The FULL SS Braided line is $75. Not bad... If I KNOW it will fix it.

If your stock lines are leaking, then spring for the full SS line and be done with it.
I got mine for the not so good price of $75 from SBR, I would attempt to find a better deal on that goodrich line though if I were to do it over again.

Good luck,

Have you checked the accumulator? The $75 piece will for sure fix your problem. I'm not positive how much of that is steel lines in a 2g. If all the way from the master to the slave is rubber, absolutely replace it all. If just from the accumulator to the slave is rubber just buy the $25 piece.

There is only a short distance that is rubber on 2g's. IDK what the accumulator is. Is it the reservoir tank? The SS kit replaces all that. But could that be what is leaking?

FYI, I ordered the full Goodridge SS Kit. Got it from maperformance for same price as SBR. (SBR woulfn't let me change my shipping address) I couldn't find the full kit for any cheaper.

Does anyone know what exactly is back there, or how how much line is "invisible".
