Courtice,
Im rebuilding my 1992 eagle talon n/t and have had the head machined and cleaned. the only problem is, inside the intake manifold theres this black shiz and i dont want to put it back together with it in there. theres about 2mm of this black gunk. Would it be ok to use water and claner to flush it out? or what should i do?
thanks everyone :talon:

Diesel Fuel, or any kind of fuel works wonders. Just pour it in, shake it up and dump it out, but be sure to dispose of it properly.

You may have to do it 2-3 times until the fuel comes out clean.

yeah.. I use just plain old gasoline and rag on the end of a steel wire brush.. gasoline cuts through that gunk like nobodies business...

OK! This will be fun! heres how ya do it!

Go to autozone or any Auto supply.. buy 4 cans of berrymans B-12

LOL. Just hose it down. The crud will INSTANTLY! be removed! :thumb:
reason for 4 cans is the stuff is extremely high pressure and you will use alot of it fast. Just try to be gentle.
I prefer to hose it all. let it sit for about 3 mins, then just Rinse it off
with more B-12.
This shouldnt take you more than 5 mins to have it spotless! WTF

B-12 is absolutly the BEST chemical I have found thats not to expensive or to harmful to handle. I use it on absolutly Everything. from rusted bolts to greasy engine internals and externals, To cleaning brakes. its the BEST!
Just bewarned! if you get it in your eye! which i do about once a week! RUN! to the water hose or sink and rinse it immediatly.! or you might not see out of that eye again! and DONOT get it on the top of you hand or fingers, aka in the pours! it burns like OMG!!

Have fun and be carefull!

I left my mani in a solvent tank overnight, just took it out in the morning and hosed it off.
It was good as new:thumb:
