[RESOLVED] hole in tranny pics!!!

Hey there guys just got my TSi and i guess theres a hole in the tranny and theres metal shavings that came out with the fluid, check out the pics i was thinking of taking the cover off and inspect how bad it is and ordering a new cover and maybe it will be ok? or am i done for?

Most likely a bearing went out, which would've cause the hole to get worn into the cover.

Mine did the same thing but worse because I had to drive the car home 40 miles after it happened; everything in the tranny was totally destroyed. The bellhousing was the only thing that was salvageable.
