[RESOLVED] help weird A/F Reading

yesss i have searched forums havent really found any that help... so when i drive and let off the gas my gauge goes to yellow ( stoich ) then when i drive far holding the gas ( highway ) the A/F gauge goes crazy it goes to stoich to lean to stoich to lean on and on and on what does that mean thank you guys

You have a narrowband Air/Fuel gauge. That's just how they operate. They aren't very accurate.

You should think about getting a Wide-band gauge.

As stated above, that is normal with narrow band. When I let off my gas, under heavy decceleration, it doesnt even light up at all. Pretty much just a light show.

If you don't have a wideband O2 sensor, your A/F gauge is as useful as a turbo-sound exhaust whistle.

He my Narrow band one did let me know when my GMAFT was NOT working properly, Just because the "normal" light show quit and it stuck it in the green because it was running PIG rich... Other than that it was useless, but it does fool the Honda guys into thinking you got extra Vee-Tek sauce.

The narrow band cycles when at a cruise. In my experience, if you have a shortage of fuel, it will read lean constantly, and if too rich it will read toward the rich side constantly. When it cycles, it means your global is set at what it needs...aka your engine is achieving 14.7:1 A/F ratio at cruise.

But the wideband is better
