Okay so I was going install an evo fuel pump into the gsx and going in I thought this would be a quick install. WRONG....So I get to the part of un-doing the nut under the car and what do you know the 99% chance of not stripping the nut with a flare wrench was not in my favor, and it stripped it a little. So I stopped and got a set of vice grips. This didn't work either.

So I gave up and was just set on taking it to a shop to let them deal with it until the freaking pump assembly with the ring decide to not go back on and I see the seal that goes between the P.A. and the tank is not in the right place. So how can I go about putting it in the right place as there is little to no space to get around?

In the past ive used a very small amount of RTV just to hold the gasket in place while fitting the pump assy. into the tank.

Just gotta take your time, if you get annoyed or pissed off like I do easily, its best to walk away for a few mins and come back to it.

I have walked away plenty of times today LOL. I will never try a fuel pump install ever again.

Took me 3 tries to get the gasket right. The 3rd time, I forgot my tank was filled to the brim... That didn't go over too well, lost a few gallons to the floor. RTV is a good idea, just to keep it in place, what about scotch tape? haha

LOL I am about to try any and everything to get this thing back on
