So I've been pondering this for a while and decided to stop being lazy and ask you all for your help and wisdom. It might be a stupid question but we will see. My brake master cylinder is leaking and im not sure on what to call it from where it is leaking as I do not know the proper term for the fitting. Here are some pictures of where it is leaking from.

Now on to the question. Is it possible instead of buying a new "BMC" that I can take those 2 fittings off and wrap the threads with teflon tape to fix the problem? Let me know what you all think and thanks for any help! :thumb:

Edit: I will soon be inspecting the brake lines as well.

The RESOLVE Edit: Ended up being that the lines were loose and the shop I had looked at it put something on it I believe and a couple days later, still no leak. :thumb: The lines are dry as can be! Also, the driver rear caliper was just gone. The seal was "blown" and pushed out so I bought a new one and the brakes are better than ever since I had the car. I'm just in dire need of new rotors and pads. Resolved!

i don't see why it wouldn't work, if that don't work try a lil bit of rtv around the edge make your self a gasket kind of, idk just throwing ideas out there for yea.

Alright, thank you guys for the replies! I'll try the teflon tape some time soon. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work either. I just wanted to see what others would think about the idea. Thanks again!
