I've searched and couldn't find what I'm looking for. I've got a 95 Talon TSi AWD turbo. I am having problems with a rough lopey idle and have found that the coolent temp sensor could be bad which is aknown cause for this. I went and ordered one for it but the one I got was wrong. My wiring harness has the T type harness like the early 1G's and was wondering if it was possible for it to be like that or if it's been switched? I've traced the wire and didn't see anywhere that it was spliced so that makes me think that they might have been possibly both in the 95's due to the body change possibly. Does anyone know of this being done or if it'll have a negative affect using the 1G sensor wiht the 2G ECU? Thanks in advance for any and all info. Going to replace the sensor in the morning with the 1G one and see if it helps. I will repost my results.

That's not a bad idea I mean as long as your battery supports it. I had one fan on full time with ignition but after opening the thermostat the temps are so low it doesn't even need that one fan on. Just keeping my car warm enough for the heat to work is an issue after I opened up that thermostat. Which showed me how efficient the stock cooling system really is, it also showed me that my thermostat was causing some of my over heating issues.

Going 70mph I had both radiator fans on, heat on full blast and the hood popped so it would pull more air and my engine temps were 219* @ 65* outside. I pulled the thermostat open and temps went to below 140* I closed the hood, shut off both fans and turned my heater on low then used cardboard to block half the radiator and got 170* @ 70mph.

That tells me the stock cooling system is super efficient and that my thermostat was totally hosed and not opening.

Can someone please help me.
My left radiator fan won't come on.
I just replaced the fan itself but still no luck
Any suggestions? Could a bad ignition switch cause this?
Can a bad alarm system cause this?

Are you running hot? Also passenger or drivers side? The passenger side only comes on in my car if the ac is turned on.

An alarm system should not be wired into fans at any point.

Well if you have something to do logging or look at actual reported temps it can be a good idea to keep an eye on temps. My car the temp gauge will run in the middle / lower middle if its in normal operating temp range, however its not the most accurate way to read temps. I can plug my ODB2 reader in and see exactly what temp my engine is on my phone. (ELM 327 Via Bluetooth to Torque)

What I mean by running hot is how high is your temp gauge getting? Is your engine running too hot? Does the passenger fan come on and off with temp variations? If you have one properly working fan its not so bad, but I am not sure what controls the operation of the working fan you have. Does it come on via a temp trigger or is it just coming on while you turn the AC on?
