i have brand new valves for my 1g laser n/t and i wanna know if i should get them put in professionally or not....does anyone know the base cost for it being professionlly installed?????? :laser: :|

As in many cases of a DSM, if you have the tools, time, and know-how to do it, go ahead and do it, because it's going to cost you a whole lot more to have a professional do it.
On the flip side, I tried doing it myself with my N/T a year ago, without the know-how and without the tools. The problems are now arising and I will have to see if the valves can be salvaged for a professional to have at them. If not, I'll be in for buying more valves. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Where are you in Richmond? Im over on Jahnke Rd.

Anyways, why are you replacing them? Did you break a timing belt? If you did, you will probably need to replace the valve guides also considering that most of the time, they crack or break when the piston hits the valves.

I only pay about 250 to have new valves put in. That includes labor for new guides, valve job, cleaning, reassembly, etc. but does not include prices for new parts! Well worth it to have the job done right. You don't have the tools to cut valve seats and grind valves, and while the head is out you might as well do it now. Just my .02.
