Replacing the fuel pump?

Hello all. I just got a 1991 Talon TSI AWD for in a trade for the trans out of my old parts Dakota. The car's not in amazing condition, but I just want to fix it to reliable stock shape and make some money off it. It needs tires all the way around, and probably fuel and brake lines to be safe because it was sitting long. The guy I got it from also told me it needed a fuel pump. When I popped the trunk, I noticed that the fuel pump access door was just laying on top of the gas tank, so I take it off to look at the pump, and there's nothing there. Just an empty tank. I looked at pictures around here of what the pump actually sits in, with the float mechanism and filter and all that, and I quickly realized that none of that was there. Just an empty tank and the access panel. Uh oh. Is there a place I can go to buy all that? The junkyards around here never hold DSM's for more than a couple hours, people come in and buy the whole car the second it hits the lot, so I would have a hard time finding one used. What do I need to do?

You can get all of that from a dealer. When I did mine it was really expensive from the dealer. You should be able to find one used on here. Just post up in the WTB section, thats how I got mine.
