I'm taking the stock Infinity Tape/CD combo out. There is the main rectangular connecter, and 2 round multi pin (6 and 8 pin) connecters, and a small 2 wire rectangular connecter that was not being used.

I've got a plug that connects from the new head unit to the main rectangular plug.

My Question: Is that all the wiring I need? I assume at least one of the round multi pinned connecters is for the under seat amp which I will not be using. I'm not sure about the other round multi pinned connecter. Can anyone shed some light as to which wires I need and which I can disregard?

Yes you only need the rectangular plug. However, your tweeters will not work with the aftermarket headunit.

I don't know why people want to upgrade, unless you're wanting subwoofers. The stock stereo is pretty nice. I actually took my Kenwood out and sold it and put my tape/cd combo player in. Only problem is it skips like non other just driving normal.

Thanks. Is it difficult/do you have to do anything special to tie in the tweeters? Can you just find the wires and join them with the fronts?

I'm sure you could do that, but you might as well replace them. Look in the DIY/Tech section for tweeter replacement. There are some nice Bose ones that you can fit right into the tweeter brackets with ease.

Does anyone know what the small 2 wire rectangular plug next to the main rectangular plug that's not used is?
