I picked up a used PLX SM-AFR, but it needs a new sensor. I ordered a Bosch one of of ebay (021-906-262B), the common replacement sensor. It shows up, and I come to find out that the plugs don't match. :cry:
It turns out there are two plugs for the LSU 4.2
PLX Devices Inc.
I need the "Type B" like in the linked picture.
Does anyone know the Bosch part number? I asked on the PLX forum, but they banned me. I don't blame them though because they sell the sensor on their site, but it's $80 :(

I have to solder RS-232 (db-9) teminals on all my bosch replacements. That wire is so dang hard to solder it's pathetic. But you always have that option. (I'm not sure if it would be a good idea if your sensor cannot be calibrated at all, since the length of leads can vary from time to time, but as sensors grow older they need calibrated too, so i would think all systems "should" have a calibration mode or some sort of self calibration you can run. Mine has both.

bpestilence, thank you very much.
This is why dsmtuners rocks. Even though I no longer have my 2g, I know I can count on the quality folks here. Going to any other forum is a waste of my time. I don't know if you guys are familiar with some of the evo forums, but they all lack in one way or another;
If I had went to evom :barf: with this question all I would have got was "Go search."
If I had gone to socalevo, one person might have known, but they are not logging on till next week. Till then I would have been told to get a Zeitronix. :rolleyes:
All others are slow going.
Everyone here should appreciate the knowledge that is in this forum. I do. That is why I still come here, search for info, ask a question, and answer one when I can.
Even though I no longer have my Eclipse,
Thank you dsmtuners.

What is the best place to weld the bung for the wideband sensor on a 2g downpipe?:dsm:--pics if available ###
