Replaced lower injector seals now leaky injector

hunting down boost leaks and replaced the lower injector seals this morning. while trying to pry off an old seal from injector #2 it popped off the rail and after reassembly its now leaking onto the intake mani and smells giving me a headache >.<

i can see the gas sitting in a puddle on top of the intake mani. car is too hot to do anything right now but its cooling off now. gonna redo the installation but when i was putting it back in earlier it seemed all the way in, plus it was set in and bolted down, would that not be enough to make it tight? wasnt leaking before it fell off the rail earlier.

what would you guys do, also what should i do to get the gas off of my engine so it doesnt smell like ass

first of all thanks for your response and the link, was very interesting.

but guy you have a badass car, and mad props for rallying in a fwd!

i took everything back off and found an o ring a little chewed up and the lower injector seal wasnt sitting right it seemed. put dialectric grease on the o ring and put another lower seal in and reinstalled and no more leak - good feeling

I would use some rags to clean up the fuel i had the same problems until i replaced my orings on my fics.
