Removing Wrist pins from 1g 6 bolt rods and pistons??

just like the title said.. need to know how i have rebuilt motors before but never had to swap pistions with out rods just need to know how to get them off and if they are reuseable

i have have been searching for about an hour now so please help..

They're pressed on. Usually pressed off and then the small end of the rod is heated and hand pushed back on the new pistons.

I don't know if this is the case with all engines but normally you don’t reuse wrist pins of this type.

That’s what my machine shop told me anyway. New pistons come with new pins anyway. OEM's, Wiseco's, Ross, etc, all the ones I’ve seen come with new pins.

Shouldn’t really have a need to reuse them but as far as removing them, yes they press out. I paid $10 dollars to all of mine pressed out/off then another $75 to have the rods reconditioned and my Wiseco's put on.

Yep yep, don't try to do it youself unless you know what you are doing
