OK so my starter is out so i need to get to it form under it i dont feel up to getting it towed to a shop so im gonna do it myself . The "cross member " as i hear that goes right under the tranny up to the radiator area . if i remove that do i need something under the tranny to support it . Basic stupid question . That cross member does it support the tranny ?

i just took mine out of the GSX last night.

No need to remove the crossmember at all.

and this was with the x-fer case and "gussets" installed too!

^^^^ yup, you can do that too!

you just have to fight the water lines going to the heater core when taking the starter out, but putting it back in you learn how to maneuver it.

thanks all ill attempt under first just because i tend to have better chances under lately with my care i tend to work better under a car for some reason LOL i also need to replace my cat anyway so ill do that while im down there too
