removed emmission components

Hi guys, I purchased my 90 talon tsi awd about 2 weeks ago. the seller informed me that all the emmission components are taken out of car, supposably it is a JDM spec motor. I was wondering what are the pro's and con's to this method. any damage being done to the motor, or has already done to motor? also looks like heater hoses in engine bay has been taken out. thermostat housing and connection on left side of block that used to have heater hose is now gone and both are looped together. the pipes that are coming out of firewall for heater hoses are bent and out of shape. I am assuming the heater doesnt work on this car. I would like to get it working again, and if emmission components will be better back on the car in order to get car to daily driver status the better. thanks.

If it's JDM, you won't have EGR, there's no place to hook it up.

The emmisions stuff is not needed. I took mine out and it got rid of some vacume leaks and my car ran better.

You say it might have jdm stuff? If it says mitsubishi on the valve cover and cyclone in the intake manfold then it is jdm. But you live in idaho so you need the heater fixed.

Emissions is just to satisfy the EPA and the smog guys.It makes the car run better without them because of carbon and crap going in your intake.Take off the intake manifold on a dsm that has the egr,you'll see what I mean.Mine is also removed.

i removed all my vac lines and egr stuff to i also dont have E cheack like alot of ppl do and i think it runs better to

mines on my motor thats being built isnt there either. In fl we dont emission test anyway, but doesnt this only make you fail the visual emission test and no the physicall?

As long as you aren't ever going to register it in California you are all good
