Let me know, I think I did pretty good, there are a few mess up spots but you have to get pretty close to see.

Ditto on that question. I used bondo to fill in the mitsu. emblem on the '97 bumper I'm getting ready to put on and it looks like ASSSSSSSS. Oh well, I don't like the shape this bumper is in anyway. I'm just using this bumper until I can get enough $ for a new paint job. I spray painted this one. After about 4 coats of base, and so far about 6 coats of clear, and wet sanding every second coat, it's starting to look decent. I'll post pics when I get it mounted...hopefullly this weekend. Greyforest, what kind of gun did you use and at what psi?

It's a plastic piece and I used a clear epoxy glue that I got at Target for $2 :thumb: I didn't think it would work at first, but I sanded the piss out of it, then put a couple layers of paint on so I could see the nasty spots better, then I coated again.

ingersoll & rand hvlp, used ~20psi at the gun, 50 from the tank.
you cannot use bondo on urethane bumpers. it is rigid and will not flex with the urethane, so it will pop right out of there. you have to use an epoxy resin made specifically for flexible bumper repair to fill in gaps on urethane :dsm: :thumb:

Looks fine, but my god the rest of your car looks like a gravel driveway. Maybe it'll buff up.

Yeah, I know. It hasn't been running for months, been in a dusty garage the whole time. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's actually clean.

I don't think he got it.

I had a feeling the bondo was a bad idea. I should've gone to a body shop instead of pepboys to look for filler. Oh well, it's only temporary.

i like mine better, yours is cool, dont get me wrong, but it looks like something belongs there. i cut mine out and rebuilt it with fiberglass.
