It's been a while since I posted, but I did get my front upper control arms installed and took her back to the alignment shop. The rear camber on the left side is still a little out of spec, but now I know how much more I need to add to the spacers.View attachment 704808

Enjoying reading your build and all the pictures. Nice job on keeping the fog lights with the IC.

What brand of front adjustable upper control arms did you buy?

Thanks!

I haven't been able to keep them quite yet. Its been a little challenging clearing the bumper ducts that push air to the stock IC and the trans oil cooler. Still doing fitting and trimming.

I just used the Megan Racing upper control arms, Nothing fancy.

Well the turbo is installed along with the intercooler piping. I was able to keep the fog lights, so I am happy about that. I also put in the EGR block off plate. I left the boost controller open, so it is set at 15psi from the wastegate springs. Time to get a base tune on and then turn up the boost 4-5 psi.

One thing to note: since I installed the ecu with ecmlink I have had 2 cam sensors fail on me. Not sure if this is a coincidence or if there is a real problem. If it continues to happen I will have to do some digging into what is causing the failures.

Here is a screen shot after some work. The boost gauge is reading right around 23ish... Figure I will leave it here for a while since I do not know much about the stock motor. Maybe a mild build in the future with a better head gasket, some cams and and intake manifold and some upgraded internals, but I am pretty happy now.

As far as I know it is the original paint and original hatch stickers. There are lots of paint chips on the hood and bumper that make me feel like it is the original paint. I was pretty happy with the condition when I bought it. I did blow the head gasket making a run at Bandimere in October so I am going to be sending the head off to Heads by Drew and adding some cams. More to come...

Well last year during the last test and tune at Bandi, I blew the head gasket on the car. I turned it up to 25psi and ran a glorious 15. The FP Green proved to be too big for the stock torque convertor and it took forever to get out of the hole. The head went to Drew and he worked his magic and I added some BC 101 cams. I also picked up a wire harness and Forced Four shift box from @spoolinpos. I also grabbed a new torque convertor that is supposed to have a higher stall (4500). Decided to ditch the green for now and switch over to a E3B16G. Since the motor and trans were out, figured it was time to delete the ABS as well.
