Rejoined the DSM Family!

Today I bought a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (had 2 DSM's before this 92 Talon AWD, and 95 Eclipse GS). It's already night here, so I'll take some pictures in the morning and post a couple of them. I'm really excited about the car, it's bright red and in VERY good shape, has a sunroof, no leather, but that wasn't a major concern anyways. 100k miles on it, no oil leaks or burning oil that I could see/smell.

It's 100% bone stock, but the modding will begin soon enough. Going to start slow because I've got a few things I need to pay off before the end of the year. But I'll be starting with basic free mods, then gauges, exhaust, etc. I miss my Talon alot, and am very happy to be back in the DSM family

Awesome! How do you like it over there? Im leaving for AF basic in 3 weeks. I was wondering about different places around the world to try to get stationed. Good luck with the modding! Will you be able to take the car back over to the US if you come back?

I love it here. I'm a huge motorcycle enthusiast, and we've got some of the best mountain/twisty roads in the world. It's a beautiful place to live as well, scenery is amazing. An hour from Venice, less than hour from a beautiful beach, 5hrs from Rome. Only about an hour and a half from Austria/Slovenia/Croatia and a couple hours from Germany. I love it here.

The Eclipse I bought from someone on base, so it's a US spec car, so there won't be any problems bringing it back with me if I decide to come back anytime soon, I'm still planning on getting stationed in Germany/Iceland/Japan/UK/Spain/etc, I like Europe alot more than the US, and I think I'll stay here for a while.

Oh, and good luck down at Lackland. Don't worry, as long as you are in decent shape it's a walk in the park. It's all mental, they try to "mind-f**k" you, just don't take anything they say personally, you'll do fine.

What red GSX are you? There are only 2 turbo cars here on base that I know of so I will have to find you one day. What is your full name so I can look you up global and email you. I have the black GST with the Enkeis'. We should get together and talk about your plans. I have been here for four years almost. I look out all over base looking for the turbo eclipses as they are few and far between. A lot of people buy the N/T Euro editions that come with the 4G63 NA. We should definatley get together though. Let me know.
