RECURCULATING???does it really work?

ok i am stock ...once again another thread explaing my wierd dsm... the BCS removed and thats it (STOCK!! STOCK!!!!!!!) ok tell me why when i raced a friends 98 hatch with an LS moter (non-VTEC) and he beat me by half a car 2 80-90 mhp race >>!!!.. then i raced him with the BOV TUBE disconnected from the intake slightly gapped on the BOV side but yet recurculating and YES>> unmetered air still coming in and yes it is bad but why the hell the second run i whomped him by 2-3 car WTF ?? explain ... i have da stock intake box too?? maybe that has somthing to do with it... HELP!! MY CAR HAS MOODSWINGS!!

that extra air may have made you run a little bit leaner, causing you to go a little bit faster... however, the fact that you lost to a civic makes me want to puke, ive beaten modified civic's in my mom's town and country mini-van without a problem. I think you should worry about why your car is losing to civic's rather than taking off the dump tube. For reference the recirculation is better for your car, leave the dump tube on

the civic he lost too had a b18 out of an integra in it, those things run mid-high 14's with an average driver in them, a bit faster than ur average honda.

OK i came from the VTEC world and yes ur right (iboostdoyou)... you have ricers which could probly loose to ur mini-van..and then u have ferarris staring at the back of a civic SI wonder ing WTF hit them.... never judge a book by its cover..i wrecked my gs-r so i got this GS-T and trust me i love it its a nicer looking car and cappable of alot more and yes its a DSM..my favorite and i wouldnt go back.... U can take alot of pride bieng an owner of a dsm.. but let me tell u my GS-R ran late 12s can u run that??? maybe u can all i am saying is u cant be cocky with ur car cause there is always som1 faster.. i just got my car like 3 weeks ago.. and i am still learning but i know enough to say that stock gs-t arent really that fast getting to 60 in wat?? 6.8-7.2?? << and stock is exactly what i am... so help me out bak to my main question why the jump in power by disconnecting a tube? am i even soppose to gain that much remeber i beet him by 2-3 cars .. after and befroe i lost to him by half a car...help..
