need your help guys, need to know what restrictor to go with HX35, or if I need one at all

first, I can't place my oil sensor right to the turbo inlet, everything's very tight there. so I measure pressure at the OFH:
~18 psi at hot idle @800-850 rpm
~90 psi max at redline
on cold it sometimes overshoots to ~100psi

I have no balance shafts. my oil drain is true 20mm inner deameter pipe. and going to feed the turbo from ofh with Kinugawa -4AN line, along with inline filter
I know it would be the guess without knowing exact pressure at the turbo inlet, but need opinion what size restrictor to run, or to run one at all

any help is greatly appretiated

at least tell me in which section should I post such question to get any suggestion :)

I would recommend putting your sensor at the ofh on the line going to the turbo to get a better idea of your pressure going to the turbo. Use one of those inline T fittings that you can hook the pressure sensor too.
If your just wanting to start guessing and hope its good I would start with a .085. My reasoning would be oil starvation would cause more damage than too much oil so start bigger.

I had the same problem when installing my new FP NEW old school red turbo. What i did was install a T at the OFH and ran a sensor at T and another sensor between restrictor and turbo. found out the block psi and turbo feed psi then installed the proper restrictor.

I think you are fine. I have 4an feed and stock 2g return with 3/4" hose as return. No leaks, no smoking so far. Measuring my pressure from OFH port next to feed line. Pressure is about the same as yours at idle. 2.3 7 bolt with 1G oil filter, and BSE. I think the pressure at the turbo is slightly less than what is read at the guage using the second port.

But anways Holset oil info:

11. Holset permits oil return pipes to decline at an overall angle of not less than 30 degrees below horizontal. All turbocharger applications require a pipe of internal diameter greater than 19 mm which has integrated connectors. To ensure oil returns into the engine under all operating conditions, the return connection into the engine sump must not be submerged and the outlet flange of the turbocharger must be 50 mm above the maximum oil level of the engine sump pan. Crankcase pressure should be limited ideally to 0.8 kPa (0.12 lbf/in2) but 1.4 kPa (0.20 lbf/in2) can be accepted by reference to Holset.
12. Oil pressure of 150 kPa (20 lbf/in2) must show at the oil inlet within 3 - 4 seconds of engine firing to prevent damage to turbocharger bearing system. A flexible supply pipe is recommended.
13. The minimum oil pressure when the engine is on load must be 210 kPa (30 lbf/in2). Maximum permissible operating pressure is 500 kPa (72 lbf/in2) although 600 kPa (88 lbf/in2) is permitted during cold start up. Under idling conditions pressure should not fall below 70 kPa (10 lbf/in2).

du you use any restryctor ?

the whole problem is, I have no clearance in height due to manifold design and can't thread in turbo inlet anything higher than feed line's 90 degree end

so all I have to install the sensor at the ofh and then guess pressure at the turbo inlet .. :(

If your drain is big enough to handle the volume, you're fine with those numbers. As long as the pressure just touches 90psi in the upper RPM range.

The guys who need to worry are those who peg a 100psi pressure gauge at 3500rpms.
