Im debating on buying this intercooler kit....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DSM-...2QQihZ015QQcategoryZ33742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I've read numerous posts about people who got them and they all say they like them, but how was the install? Did all the pipes fit just right or did you need to bend them at all?? I don't want to buy a kit that i have to mod all the pipes, i'll just buy a core and piping and do it myself if it comes down to that. Please guys, open up here and tell me straight up how they fit on our cars, before i buy this.
Thanks
Shawn

Well i just got done putting this on my car. i already love it. a few things to know is that on an auto like mine you have to really work the pipes but they do fit. so far ive pounded on it and the hot side hurts to touch while the cold side seems like its colder then outside. great kit came in about a week. things to buy extra are an extra coupler for the tb to ic pipe they give you all but that one. with this kit you will no longer have a bumper support. i hope that helps if you have any more questions ill do my best to answer

Twack did you get that exact kit. I called them up and the kit only comes with 3" piping which I think is way to large. I would not go with the kit because of this. Expecially if your running a 16g or similar turbo.

ya thats the exact kit that i got. im not sure but i pretty sure that its not 3 inch maybe 2.5 but i got a big 16g and i pulls alot better(not to mention my side mount leaked). ill go measure it in the morning and post how big it is after work but im pretty sure its not 3

i have it to and i do like it ALOT, the only thing you have to worry about is the bumper support, and youll have to get couplers for the 2.5-3.0 for the intercooler, but other than that it works WELL!

Ok i emailed them again because you guys all said it is 2.5" piping. they replyed saying sorry you are tight it was an error. It is actually 2.5". Now I think im going to pick that kit up again.

after reading that install i think im going to have to spend this weeks measley check on it :D

Dejon also makes a very nice kit, maybe look into that also.
For twice as much money, i think im gonna get this one....
I think im gonna go with the 2G one, the end tanks will come straight back instead of out the sides, i think it would be a better setup. I've got a J pipe given to me (Dejon) that came off a EvoIII so im gonna use that and just a 90 to the intercooler. I'll be waiting a few weeks anyway as these last paychecks are getting me by (no OT).

It's a good kit for the money. The only bad things would be if they still had the 3" piping. 2.5" is perfect. Another thing is the miles of piping. I think you could just buy it and do some cutting to make it short route, if that's what you want to do.

On a side note, I drove through Bangor in the beginning of June on my way to Bar Harbor... Cool place.
