rebuilt transmission questions

i just had a transmission built from buschur and it goes throught all the gears perfect but when i down shift i wont go in to 2nd im a about 15 20 mph every other gear is fine to down shift in to. does it just need miles on it or could there be a promble. o and when i down shift if i put in 1st while holding in the clutch then go to 2nd it will go. all the linkage is hooked up correct

can you compressoin shift it or try double clutching? I would assume its something to do w the synchros. I know some cars wont allow you to shift into 1st until you slow down to a safe speed. My KIA once wouldnt shift into 1st unless your doing like 10mph.
