Hey guys,I was wondering why my rear driver side brakes are clicking.About a month and a half ago I replaced all brake shoes and rotors.I might of forgotin to put the (ANTI-RATTLE)clips back in.Would that be the problem? It stops clicking when push down the brakes. Please inform me?It's all wheel drive if that helps.

After a 8 hour brake job(all caliper bolts needed a torch to heat them up-a little stuck-rust)Those damn clips are a biatch to put in.Especially when your pissed as is.Thanks-I'll have to get some patience up and have at those clips again.

i hate to bring up this old thread but these anti-rattle clips..... are they those metal pieces that the brake pads slide on? i'm getting a ticking noise while i'm driving and it stops when i press the brake. one of my clips is missing. the ticking went away when i took everything apart and greased it back up again but that was a week ago and the noise is back.

Yes, some people think these aren't necessary but they are. The pads do slide on them and any dirt or contaminants will hinder their sliding performance. When you do a brake job you should clean them with a wire brush and lube them where the pads slide. If they are in real bad condition(Badly bent, corroded, or you just broke one) you should replace it. It's also a good idea to put some lube on the pads themselves not just the shims.

Any noise is caused by a vibration.
