####,
Guys I am trying to help a friend get a answer to a problem.

To make the story short here is the deal. He has a 90 tsi awd and it has been sitting. The rear brakes are frozen. I order him a set off a dsm forum and when he gets them one brake fits on his car but is missing a check valve. The brake that fits has 2T stamped on the top of it.

The other caliper he gets doesn't fit on the car and has 1T stamped on it.

Is there a way to tell by what is stamped on the brake which model it came from?

Thanks

Unless its a 1 or 2 piston caliper they should be the same. Inspect the pistons in the caliper and see the condition of them. If they are clean, run a hone through the caliper, buy a rebuild kit, and rebuild them, and you know what you have then.
