ok, so recently i replaced the clutch slave and master cylinders. after i did that i noticed that there was a slight surface rubbing noise coming from what seemed to be the tranny. at first is wasn't bad and it would come and go, so i ignored it. not long after i went to the track and did a hard launch. this pretty much meant death for the clutch so i bought an exedy stage 2. i put it in myself. but when i took out the old pressure plate i noticed on the top (side facing into the tranny) there was a lot of scratches and paint removed. i also noticed on the fork there was significant rubbing into the metal where it looks like the fork was making contact with the pressure plate. i can only imagine this is what was making the noise. i was told that it was most likely a bad TOB not holding the fork in the proper place. the fork wasn't replaced, i got everything back together and the noise seemed to have worsened. i don't know why the clutch slave brand new would cause this. or if the fork is bad. but the guys at clutch doctors told me it was bad bearings in the tranny. it's a horrible sound and really only noticable from the passenger side.
it goes away when the clutch is pushed in or in nuetral. i've found other threads with similiar symptoms, but i'm not really experiencing much vibration like they are, and this really started occuring after i replaced the slave and master, and only got worse after the hard launch and clutch. i have no money and this is my only car, so the next repair has to be the right one. please help guys
