My earlier post talked about my car dying on the freeway and CEL with "coolant sensor" but I also noticed my Buschur fuel pump is super loud, much much louder than when I first put it in 2 years ago. It sounds like an air hose now, couple with the electric motor. But the car runs fine.

Why would the pump suddenly go nuts? Already bad after only 2 years?

I would certainly do a pressure check to determine if it's within specs for normal running conditions. If you have the maximum optput pressure of the pump you can pinch off the return line and see if it reaches that pressure. A change in noise level could mean impending pump failure but could also indicate a blockage of the intake feed caused by rust, junk, or water. There is an outside chance that the noise is being cause by a fault in the charging system as well.

I see no relationship to the coolant sensor mentioned.

Cheers,
GTM
