RC injectors, good or bad?

^^ I have to second that, they're working great with my DSMchip, Walbro 255, and FTS FPR, on the T-25. Can't wait to put my 16g and FMIC on and run'em.

Rcs are probably the most popular injectors used on dsms. You cant go wrong.

Agreed, I have the RC 550's and they've never given me an ounce of trouble. Unlike EVERY other nut, bolt, and screw I didn't even know I had on my car... Grrr.

i have had 2 sets of rc/lucas 550's, both bought used, NEVER installed on my car. i send out every used injector to be cleaned and flowed. on BOTH sets of rc's, at least 1 injector would not atomize, the guy cleaning them laughingly called them a fire hose, could shoot solution clear across the room. he was not impressed, and he cleans a LOT of injectors. i also sell parts for bmw for a living, lots of bmw's came with lucas. shops will not put lucas back in, they tell the owner bosch(the ONLY other choice on bmw), or take the car elsewhere(they see lucas injectors that have been on the car for a while, and they just dont last). when lucas injectors first came on the E32/34 cars, they were all quietly changed out for bosch, no questions asked. a lot of the time, the owners didnt even know it. oh, and imho, fic delphi's are WORSE than lucas. denso or oem(nippon injector, i think) for me. check around, i just picked up a set of evo 8's for 125/shipped. i missed out on a set for 50 BUCKS!!! cleaning/flowing is another 50 bucks, and the evo injectors will flow more like 600 cc. dead times are actually less than stock, and they are the later ball/disc type. very fine atomization, an excellent injector.

evo injectors are 560cc not 600.

thank you for that. so, when i send them out, and they come back with flow sheets that say 600cc at 3 bar, i guess they are the wrong ones, eh? or they are broke? just like the denso 660's that i get back that flow 710. guess they are broke, too? how bout the fic 650's that i get back that flow 620. now, THEM are broke. how bout this, the international standard for fuel injector flow is 3 bar pressure(43.5 psi). 1g turbo's are rated 450cc, but stock pressure is 37 psi. so, if i get them back and the flow sheets say 500, are they broke too?

I have RC 550 injector. No problem with 'em it :thumb:

If you use the stock 2g fuel rail you will have to"file" down a some metal to fit. If not you will have a very snug fit :dsm:

Before you can use injector flow reults to compare to claimed numbers, you have to find out what pressure EACH vendor uses to test their injectors. They do not all use the same pressure, so of course your results are not going to be the same unless you test them at the same psi.
